BANNU: One suspected militant was killed whereas another was handed over to the police during an overnight clash with residents in Bannu, DawnNews reported.
According to the police, residents of Bannu’s Haji Anwar Khel area spotted six suspicious men on Wednesday night and asked them to stop. However, the suspected men opened fire on the area’s dwellers.
During an exchange of fire between the two sides, one suspect was killed whereas another was captured and handed over to the police. The remaining four suspects escaped from the site of incident.
Moreover, approximately three kilograms of explosive material was also recovered from the men.
Police said the suspects were aged between 14 and 15 years.

The northwestern town of Bannu, which stands at the gateway to Waziristan, is 150 kilometres southwest of Peshawar, capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
