KARACHI: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was set to make his maiden appearance in the parliament, after media channels reported on Thursday that PPP Member National Assembly Ayaz Soomro had tendered his resignation from Larakana's NA -204.
Bilawal became eligible to contest elections after turning 25 on September 21 this year and was also scheduled to take reigns of the party by the end of this year.
PPP leader Ayaz Soomro submitted his resignation to the party's leadership in Sindh vacated his NA-204 seat paving way for the son of late premier Benazir Bhutto, and former president Asif Ali Zardari.
Media outlets also reported that Ayaz Soomro may now be made an advisor on law to Sindh's Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
