MULTAN: An additional district and sessions judge on Thursday expunged the name of an infant from a police case.

An FIR (No 254/13) was lodged with the Daulat Gate police under section 452/382, 337-AI/148 and 149 by Rana Muhammad Farooq, a resident of Galli Kamangranwali, who accused Saud, Hasnain and Ms Farrukh of attacking him with dagger and looting a cell phone and Rs22,000 in cash.

The accused through their counsel Muhammad Rashid Khan filed a bail application and pleaded not guilty. They said the main accused, Saud, was only one and-a-half years old and was being treated at the Nishtar Hospital for fracture on his leg.

AD&SJ Shahbaz Ali Paracha summoned SHO Niaz and inquired about the case.

He directed the police to expunge the name of the infant from the FIR and fixed Jan 16 as the next date of hearing.
