QUETTA: The Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) held a demonstration outside the press club on Sunday in protest against raid on the house of party leader Nawab Amanullah Zehri in Khuzdar and the arrest of Malik Nauhed in Mastung.
BNP-M leaders Ghulam Nabi Marri, Musa Baloch, Yonus Baloch and Javed Baloch in their speeches alleged that security agencies were running a parallel government in Balochistan and elected representatives were helpless before powerful elements in these agencies. They said that despite elections and formation of a new government in the province under Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch ‘invisible forces’ were taking actions against the Baloch.
Condemning the raid on Mr Zehri’s house, they said it was aimed to force the BNP-M to compromise on the rights of Baloch people. They said dumping of mutilated bodies and enforced disappearance of people were major problems in Balochistan.—Correspondent
