LAHORE: The Health Department on Thursday declared eight districts, including Lahore, of Punjab highly sensitive for polio.
It also directed the executive district officers (health) of the identified districts to take special preventive measures for the eradication of the crippling disease.
The seven other districts, besides Lahore, are: Rawalpindi, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Mianwali, Multan, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh.
The health department is also going to launch anti-polio drive from April 14 during which over 4 million children will be administered drops.
