FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan first betrayed his voters by representing the Taliban and now he will do the same again by joining hands with Tahirul Qadri who does not believe in democracy.
Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah said this while talking to reporters after addressing a seminar at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) here on Monday.
He claimed the nation would reject Mr Khan’s May 11 protest campaign and he would be left as lonely as he was when he had joined the politics.
The minister said ‘rejected politicians’ wanted to wash their dirty linen in the public using the name of army.
He said the elements indulging in politics of protest were hell bent upon stopping the country’s progress.
He rejected the impression of a deadlock in the government’s talks with the Taliban and said both negotiations and army operation were going on side by side.
Addressing the seminar entitled ‘Empower youth as IT entrepreneurs for a progressive Pakistan,’ he said the government was aware of the role of education in eliminating illiteracy, poverty and unemployment from society.
He rapped the opponents of Daanish School Project saying such elements had a ‘myopic approach’ as the initiative was meant for the children with limited financial resources. He said these schools had been established in southern Punjab where militancy was increasing in 2008-09.
FCCI President Sohail Bin Rashed said IT was a vital sector which could bring a revolution in Pakistan if given its due importance.
He demanded establishment of an IT Park, a campus of IT University and a sub-office of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in Faisalabad. He said the ‘IT Park’ would house 88 local software developing firms working round the clock.
