The station House officer of City Police Station Aslam Khan told that unknown attackers fired at the teachers named Shamim Badshah and Liaqat Ali Khan near Government High School number 1. He said that both the teachers died on the spot.

The deceased Shamim Badshah belonged to Hangu while Liaqat Ali belonged to the Haji Zai area of Kohat.

Angry protesters blocked the Hangu Kohat Road near Alizai to protest the killing of Ali.

Hangu borders the northwestern tribal region of Orakzai, one of Pakistan's seven lawless districts on the Afghan border considered to be the hub of Taliban and Al Qaeda-linked militants.
