QUETTA: The whereabouts of Judicial Magistrate of Ziarat Jam Sakaa, who was kidnapped in Kawas area on Monday’s night, is still unknown.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Ziarat Yasir Khan, Jam Sakaa was going from Ziarat to Quetta along with his driver and security guard when armed men intercepted their vehicle in Kawas area and took them away on gunpoint. Later the kidnappers freed the driver and the guard in Syed Hameed Cross area and took the judicial magistrate towards Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah districts, he added.
He said soon after receiving information about the kidnapping of the judicial magistrate personnel of Levies Force launched a search operation in Gulistan area.
Meanwhile, lawyers boycotted court proceedings on Tuesday in protest against the kidnapping of Jam Sakaa.
President of Supreme Court Bar Association Kamran Murtaza, senior lawyers’ leader Baz Mohammad Kakar and other lawyers’ leaders condemned the abduction.
They said judges and lawyers were being kidnapped or killed in Balochistan, adding that the government had failed in protecting members of legal fraternity.
