PESHAWAR, June 20: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has directed the authorities to conduct a probe into the use of infected instruments in hospitals and take action against the persons involved.
He issued these instructions at a meeting held at the health department here on Thursday, an official handout said.
Secretary health Abid Ali briefed the minister on the activities of the health department, its different projects, healthcare facilities being provided to the people and steps taken for improving the work of state-run hospitals.
The minister declared that there would be no political interference in government affairs and he only wanted best results and selfless services to the common people.
He said the government functionaries should exercise their delegated powers wholeheartedly for the welfare of the masses. He maintained that they were focusing on the upgradation of the facilities instead of constructing new buildings. — Bureau Report
