ISLAMABAD:The capital police conducted raids in Islambad’s Tarnol area Saturday and arrested 100 suspects, including 30 proclaimed offenders.
Police conducted three major search operations in Tarnol’s areas — Pind Paracha, Saadat Colony, Afghan Basti, Burma Town and Railway Town. During the operations, 30 proclaimed offenders and 70 other suspects were arrested.
Moreover, eight vehicle without proper documentation, four motorcycles and 100 bottles of alcohol were seized from the arrested persons.
Police shifted the suspects to prison for further interrogation.
Islamabad is the political capital of Pakistan and a number of search operations have been carried out in the city in the recent past.
The city houses the Presidency, the Parliament and the Supreme Court and authorities in the past have also claimed to have foiled attacks on the Parliament which lies adjacent to Aiwan-i-Sadr.
