ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Sunday arrested two people from the venue of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) rally with a pistol and some liqour.
One person was arrested with a 9mm pistol, two magazines and 23 rounds of bullets, while another was carrying two bottles of whiskey.
Thousands of protestors had held a rally in Islamabad on Sunday against alleged rigging in last year's general election.
The demonstration was led by cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan as well as charismatic preacher Tahirul Qadri, who held an anti-corruption march last year prior to the May 2013 election that saw the country's first democratic handover of power.
